Boxing

BOXING or the Sweet Science, uses hands only to strike an opponent, similarly kickboxing also incorporates leg strikes. Whether you have a dream to to be the next Muhammad Ali, want to see how hard you can push yourself mentally and physically, or just want a fighters physique and a workout that is scientifically proven to burn a 1000 calories in an hour, VKMT will coach you to your goals.

Unlike many gyms that offer "kickboxing and boxing" classes. As a fighter himself, and coach to multiple Golden Gloves boxers, coach Kale and his team ensure that you not only get the amazing workouts that come from these sports, but that you also learn the proper technique and the theory behind it. Avoiding injury and developing the confidence that comes from truly learning a martial art. Making sure you're ready, physically and mentally, to take on anything life throws at you.

I had literally never thrown a punch before I started working with Kale. In less than a year of training with him, I crossed off a major bucket list item and fought in my first exhibition fight at Soho House, Chicago. In the process of working out with Kale, I lost 25 pounds, ran my first half marathon at sub 9min miles (another bucket list) and am looking to run the Chicago marathon in 2018. Kale's flexible, laid back but effective style of training has helped me continue to crush goal after goal and has brought my confidence to new levels.

Personal Training

Kru Kale and his team have a plethora of fitness certificates which they incorporate into their programs to ensure the best, and most varied workouts for their students. Over the past few years, they have helped their students hit a variety of their fitness goals, from preparing for their first marathon, stepping into the ring for the first time, to losing 30 pounds for their wedding.

We've been working with Kale for almost an entire year now, and have each experienced a drastic transformation in our strength, mental clarity and Boxing skill set. VKMT is a firm believer in that there are no “magic techniques” to ensure protection in the dangerous situations where self defense will be needed.

However, we work with our students to understand both the physical and psychological effects before, during, and after these situations arise and how to manage all.

Through a system of training situational awareness, reaction speed, and simple effective techniques, VKMT gives a broad understanding of all elements of self defense, ensuring students are in the best possible positions to defend themselves if necessary.
